Overview
Physicians in the licensed Regenexx network offer advanced interventional orthopedic treatments as an alternative to common orthopedic surgeries. The Regenexx Corporate Program helps employers provide their employees a high-quality, high-value option in care that can reduce the cost of individual surgeries by up to 70%.
Interventional Orthopedics
Interventional orthopedics offers a less invasive alternative to surgery through precise, image-guided injections to treat musculoskeletal injuries.
Traditionally, a non-surgical approach involved using drugs, lubricants, and injectates like hyaluronic acid, epidurals, and steroids, which can have long-term side effects.
Recently, the field has expanded to include interventional orthobiologics, which uses injections of biological materials (such as concentrated blood and bone marrow) with the goal of reducing pain and improving function.
Using precisely guided injections of the patient’s own cells, the Regenexx approach is less invasive and may reduce the need for up to 70% of elective orthopedic surgeries.
Regenexx Orthobiologics
Regenexx lab processes focus exclusively on of blood and bone marrow and comply with US state and federal law. Our orthobiologic processing customizes concentrations to treat each patient’s condition. Regenexx lab processing offers customizable cell concentrations ranging from 6X to 20X.
- Regenexx SD Injectate: A patented protocol using bone marrow concentrate that contains stem cells, commonly referred to as “stem cell therapy.”
- Regenexx SCP Injectate: A proprietary formulation of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) that is more concentrated than what a basic bedside centrifuge machine can produce.
Procedures Using Regenexx Injectates
Regenexx has been a pioneer in interventional orthobiologics since 2005. We have developed many processing and treatment techniques in use today. In addition, we have published roughly half of all research worldwide on the use of bone marrow concentrate, which contains stem cells, for the treatment of orthopedic injuries. As the owner of 24 patents in multiple countries, we are constantly refining our treatment protocols and developing new techniques.
Regenexx continues to innovate in interventional orthobiologics with a dedicated research and development team as well as a specialized research laboratory. In addition, we track results from these procedures in the Regenexx Provider Patient Registry. This registry makes Regenexx unique in that it allows physicians in the licensed network to know the type of orthobiologics to use based on the joint and condition they are treating. No one but Regenexx is doing this in the space of regenerative orthopedics.
